Rosie’s Surgery went fine

This is Troy. Sorry for the delay on an update.

Rosie’s surgery yesterday went fine. Everything was as expected and both doctors were extremely happy with the results. It was a single with reconstruction, for those of you who were wondering what procedure she finally decided to go with.

Rosie had quite the entourage in her room after she got out of recovery. Six people at one point. She’s very popular. Anyway, when I last saw her before leaving the hospital last night, she was drugged up but not really in pain. She said if she moved the right way she could make it hurt.

All in all, I have to say that she looked better… healthier and stronger… last night after surgery than she did for most of the summer while fighting chemo. I guess everything is relative, right?

  1. Troy, thanks for the update. Glad to hear Rosie’s feeling good. Isn’t it amazing that the surgeries actually are easier than the chemo…

  2. I’m so glad things went well.I hope this means Rosie’s in the home stretch in terms of beating this and getting back to life not so totally overcast with feeling crummy and stressed.
I spent time a few weekends ago with an old friend whose mastectomy and reconstruction was almost twenty-five years ago. She sent her best to Rosie, also!
