Happy New Year!
I always say that I don’t make New Year’s resolutions.
In the dusty back corners of my mind, a few always creep in. I try to ignore them. In a past life, I made and failed at far too many of a New Year’s resolution. I had to do away with them.
I think of New Year’s resolutions as wasted goal-setting. If you want to make a change, do it. Do it now. Do it later. Do it whenever it works out best for you. But why attach it to a new year?
This year, though, at a mere 2 1/2 hours old, things just feel different.
Maybe it’s the blue moon or the start of a new decade. Maybe it’s just the random spot where I happen to be in life aligns with the new year. I don’t know. But I have a few new goals – resolutions, if you will – that I plan to pursue this year.
I plan to write much, much more. I’ve already been working on this. Haven’t been sharing it with you … but I am writing and will continue to work on more blogging.
I also plan to get a handle on two problem areas in my life that have been causing me tremendous stress the last few years. I’ve already started on those, too.
These three things are going to see major changes this year. I’ve already set the wheels in motion. I think that’s why I feel comfortable attaching the term “resolution” this year.
I’m making New Year’s resolutions with a head start!
Happy New Year to all of my wonderful friends on this journey. Without you, I wouldn’t be here. That’s an understatement, but I’m not sure how else to say it. I’d be an entirely different person without you, that’s for darn sure!
